Location: Scotstoun, Hybrid

What you will be doing:

In this role, you’ll help shape and champion a culture of ethical business conduct across the Naval Ships business and UK wide sites. Working closely with the Naval Ships leadership team and the sector Head of Ethical Business Conduct, you’ll support the identification and understanding of ethical risks, strengthen awareness, and deliver engaging communications that bring our values to life. You will also provide line management support, helping to guide and develop team members while driving high standards of ethical practice.

You’ll facilitate engagement forums such as listening groups and Ethics Councils to encourage open dialogue, and lead Ethics Reviews, and report to the business audit committee and wider business reviews. Working with stakeholders across Business Units and the Sector, you’ll also carry out Supply Chain Ethical Conduct Assurance Reviews, supporting suppliers to meet their commitments under our Code of Conduct.

Core duties:

  • You will bring experience working as a trusted partner within Business Conduct and Compliance, collaborating across functions and facilitating discussions with stakeholders at different organisational levels
  • You will be able to identify and interpret trends, translating insights into practical actions that strengthen internal initiatives and ethical practices
  • You will apply analytical thinking to explore complex issues, supporting balanced outcomes across a range of sensitive or challenging situations
  • You will demonstrate broad organisational awareness, adapting approaches to suit different operational environments and business needs
  • You will have experience conducting workplace investigations and supporting fair, consistent resolution of conduct-related matters
  • You will bring project management experience, coordinating and delivering initiatives while engaging stakeholders across teams

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
