Job Description

Job title: Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist

Location: Samlesbury – Full time on site

Salary: £56,766+ depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for Infor LN, ensuring strong process integration, accurate data flow, and effective use of new system functionality
  • Analyse and improve production, logistics, and supply chain processes, identifying gaps, resolving issues, and shaping future-state processes that support operational efficiency
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements, translating them into clear system needs and ensuring alignment between operational teams and technical specialists
  • Lead workshops and facilitate discussions with stakeholders to develop solution concepts, define process changes, and support decision-making during ERP design and implementation
  • Support change management, training, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the system is understood, adopted, and delivers the intended business outcomes
  • Challenge legacy practices and drive standardised, system‑aligned ways of working, promoting continuous improvement and ensuring the ERP solution is used to its full capability

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally including Infor LN
  • Significant experience in production planning, logistics, or related manufacturing roles
  • Experience implementing Production Planning / Logistics processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and solid understanding of production control and supply chain processes

Desirable:

  • Direct experience with Infor LN
  • Knowledge of Air Manufacturing processes and product awareness
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, process improvement, or User Acceptance Testing

The ERP Team:

An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Specialist is responsible for supporting the successful implementation and optimisation of the ERP solution (Infor LN or similar). The role acts as the bridge between business teams and technical experts, ensuring that system functionality, business processes, and operational needs are fully aligned.

The specialist will analyse existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help design and implement ERP‑based solutions that support operational performance. They will also support data modelling, system configuration discussions, UAT activity, and the creation of clear process and system.
