About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Maritime Sustainment program team based at either Garden Island Naval Base, NSW or Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.

As the Engineering Change Support Project Manager, You will be responsible for performing systems engineering activities, managing the system engineering integration and engineering change tasks

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include:

• Champion the systems engineering and engineering change processes and the interfaces from the various project teams, ensuring effective completion of activities
• Work closely with the project design and support teams, enabling the effective development and control of the engineering change activities
• Participate in engineering systems reviews, readiness reviews and update the program on system maturity, risk and progress
• Assist and prepare the engineering interface with the production planning phase
• Capture the impact of the engineering changes through analysis, reporting and active risk management
• Establish good relationships with various stakeholders and communicate the status of the engineering designs and their readiness for production requirements

About YOU

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Engineering (desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within either Project Management or Engineering
• Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Capability to identify and solve complex problems, think critically and innovate
• Current NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain in addition to eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
