Job title: Early Careers and Skills Development Coach (Electrical)

Location: Barrow – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £41,997

What you’ll be doing:

  • Inspiring a culture of excellence and inspiring high performance amongst learners, role modelling a culture of proud professionals
  • Delivering outfit trade training lessons in a safe, inspiring and impactful manner to ensure positive learning outcomes for all
  • Day to day running of workshop learning/training covering all aspects of outfit.
  • Being part of a team of professionals, and help to develop the electrical worker training curriculum and associated lessons in line with training/business requirements
  • Providing effective safeguarding, welfare and support arrangements for apprentices and other learners
  • Maintaining Academy Diamond Standards in all activities

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Time served electrician
  • Effective coaching skills and/or experience of working with apprentices
  • Strong leadership skills, leading by example in all aspects of workshop training
  • Passionate about training and development with a good knowledge of factors affecting delivery

Desirable:

  • Training & Development qualifications at L3 or above or prepared to work toward
  • Experience of working with Submarine Electrical standards

The Skills Coach Team:

Your passion and excellent interpersonal skills will enable you guide and support the development of apprentices. You will have a logical approach to business operations and a flexible approach to work, with a desire and willingness to achieve. You will also be able to work effectively, both as part of a team and independently.

As a skills coach you will be working within early careers, to help apprentices and learners to reach their full potential, Coaching, developing and inspiring learners to achieve their full potential and become independent, valued and successful employees.
