Job Title: Secure By Design Practitioner

Location: Preston or Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Monitor compliance with cyber security policies and associated risks
  • Offer advice and guidance to promote the use of security methods, tools, and policies
  • Identify and recommend changes to processes based on audit findings
  • Improve processes by adopting new approaches and best practices
  • Manage the System Security Plans (SSP) database and provide reports
  • Review SSPs for quality before final approval
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve cyber security functions

Your skills and experiences:

  • Experienced in administration and project planning is essential
  • Demonstrated experience working within an IT function would be highly desirable
  • Knowledge of the Cyber Career framework including with professional institutions in order to support the broader development of the Information Management and Technology Function would be advantageous
  • Relevant IT degree or business degree would be favorable

The Cyber Security Team:

Join our dynamic Cyber Security team within BAE Systems Information Management & Technology (IM&T) function at Head Office. You’ll be pivotal in advancing Secure by Design (SbD) principles across our operations, focusing on governance, risk management, and assurance. You will collaborate across functions to ensure robust cyber security measures, conduct thorough security control reviews, and maintain technology architecture for compliance. With autonomy and accountability, you’ll drive technical excellence and influence project outcomes. Engage with diverse teams to meet customer needs and implement cutting-edge security policies.
