Job title: Communications Advisor – Content Development & Delivery

Location: Barrow-In-Furness, Scotstoun, Frimley, Glascoed, Gloucester, Preston & Portsmouth – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £42,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and delivering employee communications campaigns to influence behavioural and cultural change across our Sector as we embark on an unprecedented growth journey
  • Providing strategic advice and support to senior stakeholders on effective employee communication strategies and approaches
  • Working collaboratively to develop a structured and coordinated content strategy for our Sector
  • Supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of our overarching Maritime and Land Communications plan
  • Engaging with internal audiences and stakeholders to proactively enhance the outcomes we deliver
  • Supporting the delivery of change and transformation initiatives across the business
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues within and beyond the Sector to drive efficient and effective outcomes for BAE Systems

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Degree and/or relevant professional certificate or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written communication skills and proficiency in using content management systems
  • Able to draw upon past experience and make judgements to resolve problems for scenarios that may not be covered by standard procedures
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders with a strong customer focus and the ability to build relationships internally and externally

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the Markets in which BAE system operates as well as its competitors
  • Good understanding and knowledge of the area in which the role operates
  • Good level of experience of working in a Communications function

Content Development & Delivery team:

We currently have a vacancy for an ambitious, determined and highly motivated Communications Advisor in Maritime and Land. You’ll support the success of our rapidly growing sector by providing strategic communications advice and delivering critical campaigns for our colleagues. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced environment. Your communications expertise and know-how will help our leaders to unlock potential across Maritime and Land

There will be an opportunity to learn and grow whilst making a real difference to up to 30,000 colleagues in small team that is focused on producing central content for the Maritime and Land sector as well as partnering with our functions and Lines of Business – Submarines, Defence Solutions and Naval Ships – to successfully engage with our Maritime and Land colleagues in a strategic and engaging way
