Job title: Contracts Officer

Salary: £41,308

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and bids with UK and international Customers and ensure that acceptable, agreed positions are captured appropriately in any subsequent business agreements and or contract

  • Draft basic contracts / agreements with little supervision and contributes to the development of more complex contracts

  • Prepare and support the preparation and presentation of LCM reviews and Request for Bid Approval material ensuring the necessary approvals are obtained within the governance of the operational framework

  • Generate suitable NDA and teaming agreements in accordance with Commercial policy

  • Support senior Commercial colleagues by taking responsibility for the preparation of quotations and proposals

  • Provide commercial support and contract administration support to a project or business stream

  • Follow up activities to ensure inputs from others are received and progressed to conclusion

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Relevant experience in Business Studies, Legal, Supply Chain or Procurement

  • An understanding of commercial contracts and contract negotiation

  • Experience dealing with stakeholders and as part of a cross functional team

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft packages – Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable:

  • Experience of dealing with UK MoD Terms and conditions
