Job title: Commercial Manager

Location: Bristol. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £63,000 Depending on Skills and Experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading commercial bids and proposals through to completion of suitable Contract
  • Actively participate in Business Winning, including contributing to the development of commercial proposals for potential business and the commercial review of the full suite of proposal documents
  • Lead the Request for Bid Approval (RBA) and Contract Award (CA) process
  • Lead the negotiation of commercial issues and ensuring acceptable business agreements and contracts
  • Managing bids, contracts, and programmes, ensuring all risks and opportunities are managed and obligations are appropriately discharged
  • Managing commercial and contractual issues/disputes/claims, ensuring alignment of stakeholders and leadership of negotiations to resolution
  • Lead Commercial Customer relationships

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience in new business and contract negotiation
  • Experience with drafting and managing large and complex contracts
  • Experienced in writing complex reports and commercial offers
  • Good understanding of Intellectual Property and Export Control
  • Experience in managing small teams
  • Good understanding of interactions with related functions (Engineering, Finance etc)
  • Experience of research and development

Desirable:

  • Awareness of Defence and aerospace sector
