Role Description:

The Blast & Paint Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Blast & Paint Lead in delivering all activities related to product manufacturing. This role involves organising tasks and project-specific activities while ensuring that all manufacturing, production, and assembly work is completed in accordance with safety, quality, cost, delivery, people (SQCDP) and customer requirements.

Core Duties:

  • Implement resource planning activities as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering in developing and maintaining process instructions.
  • Report production performance in line with the Production System Business Rhythm.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Demonstrate visible leadership by working collaboratively with integrated teams and engaging effectively with employees across all roles and leadership levels.
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives at both local and business levels, including technical, schedule, and cost improvements, and consult with relevant disciplines to support implementation.
  • Plan, manage, and execute production outputs to the required standard, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Respond appropriately to non‑conformances, ensuring compliance with reporting and escalation requirements, and share lessons learned to support ongoing improvement.
  • Coordinate daily work activities, facilitate team meetings, guide task execution, and support team members through training, work instructions, procedures, and work orders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of quality requirements and ensure all work meets or exceeds those standards.

Essential Skills:

  • AMPP Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE CIP Level 2 or CIP Level 1 working towards NACE 2)
  • 7 years industry experience
  • Demonstrated production experience, including the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring lists and technical manuals.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple teams to support and implement business requirements.
  • Well‑developed self‑management skills with the ability to work independently and deliver outputs safely and to required SQCDP standards.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Strong capability to balance competing priorities while meeting customer and business requirements, supported by sound stakeholder management.
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Experience implementing and monitoring continuous improvement systems and processes.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
