Atom Bank is at the forefront of the fintech revolution, constantly redefining banking. We're making significant investments in our data model and management, and our growing Business Intelligence team is central to achieving our ambitious Data Strategy.

We're looking for a talented and proactive Junior BI Engineer to join us on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract within our Lending Value Stream (covering Mortgages & Business Lending). This is an exceptional opportunity to be instrumental in a key initiative: migrating our foundational reporting to Tableau, and then building out enhanced, impactful reporting as the business matures its data insights. You'll play a vital role in supporting our business-wide data culture and promoting self-service analytics.

What you’ll be doing:

• Reporting Transformation: Support the migration of critical foundational reports from Excel to Tableau within the Mortgages & Business Lending areas.
• BI Development: Contribute to the enhancement and expansion of new business intelligence reporting, supporting the curation and production of core business intelligence.
• Data Culture & Self-Service: Support the rollout of BI tooling and self-serve capabilities across the business.
• Data Quality: Work closely with Data Governance to strengthen data management, including metadata and lineage, and drive data management automation.
• Impactful Data: Contribute to a strong data culture within Atom, ensuring the quality of BI and reporting for a rapidly growing business

What do we need from you?

• You'll have experience working in a Data Analyst or a similar role, eager to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Foundational knowledge of data models & databases.
• An awareness of BI tools and how they can be used, ideally with exposure to data visualisation or presenting data as part of a project.
• A self-starter mentality with a strong appetite to learn fast and continually develop your skills.
• An ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team structure.
• Ideally, a background in Computer Science, STEM, or a similar field.
