Job Description

APM Terminals

As part of the Project Controls team, APM Terminals is looking for an experienced Project Planner to lead planning and scheduling for the Maasvlakte II Expansion (MVII-E) project. This role is critical in an interface-heavy terminal environment covering Civil, Equipment, IT/OT systems, commissioning and operational readiness.

The objective of this position is to own and drive the integrated master/detail schedule, ensuring schedule integrity, clear visibility on interfaces and risks, and robust support to project decision-making, re-baselining and recovery planning.

APM Terminals Maasvlakte II (MVII) is one of the world’s most advanced and highly automated container terminals, strategically located in the Port of Rotterdam. As part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group and the global APM Terminals network, we actively contribute to enabling global trade and fostering sustainable economic growth.

What sets MVII apart is our culture of innovation, safety and operational excellence. The Lean methodology is deeply embedded in our way of working – from continuous process improvement to cross-functional teamwork at ground level. At MVII, you’ll be part of a forward-thinking, data-driven environment built on continuous improvement. Join us and contribute to a terminal that sets the global benchmark.

The role:

The role requires strong experience managing schedule integration in complex, multi‑contractor environments, resolving sequencing conflicts, and driving alignment across internal and external stakeholders to maintain schedule integrity and protect critical paths. The Planner reports to Project Controls Manager.
