About the Business Unit

Global Delivery Services Centre (GDSC) is a high-impact business unit within Mott MacDonald, dedicated to enhancing project delivery across our global operations.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project Planner to join our team. As Senior Project Planner, you will work on multiple projects, providing expert planning and
scheduling support using Primavera P6 and MSP. This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your extensive knowledge and experience to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create project schedules that meet contractual requirements for a wide array of customers across multiple industries using Primavera P6 or MSP.
  • Ensure that for all schedules produced there is full alignment to the contracted scope and estimate via a Work Breakdown Structure and resource profiles. Integrate schedule requirements and constraints to establish work sequences for all disciplines or specialties seek buy in and approval
  • Leading the development of the baseline schedule, you will facilitate and support the approval of the schedule as a contractual baseline document with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain the schedule updating and project schedules Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders on schedule status. Lead and facilitate project meetings, providing expert scheduling insights and recommendations. Verifying actual progress claims, monitor schedule deviations and recommend corrective action/work-around any issues that may arise
  • Draft and finalize schedule or progress reports progress as needed including Progress S Curves, Critical Path, Milestone Tracking, Float Path and erosion and Earned Value management, Prepare and present comprehensive Schedule Update Reports including progress, variance and mitigations / interventions lookahead update schedules to optimize alignment with project objectives and timelines
  • Undertake Change Impact assessments for proposed and approved changes.
  • Collaborate with Project Control and Management to support the cost plan and cash flow data sets and reports.
  • Manage and configure enterprise data contained within project schedules to maintain alignment to third party systems, budgets (effort and cost) and where required materials.
  • Provide professional support on project planning processes and best practices.
  • Perform detailed schedule integrity checks, reviews for internal / external customers as required, documenting all findings and developing action plans to address any observed items.
  • Schedule Assurance, both internally and externally, taking into consideration all aspects of project scheduling planning including the development and support of comprehensive action plans to address observed items either directly or with a third party.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management.
  • Should have 9 -12 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to remotely manage multiple complex projects and priorities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in a professional planning or scheduling role.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced project management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with other project management software tools.
  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP).
