Job Description
APM Terminals
We are looking for a highly driven and execution-focused Operations Incharge to lead end-to-end warehouse operations at our Sonipat facility. This role requires deep expertise in 3PL/contract logistics, strong exposure to perishable supply chains, and the ability to manage high-volume e-commerce fulfilment while consistently delivering on SLAs. You will own operational performance, customer experience, and site profitability while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Manage complete day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound volumes
- Ensure receiving, unloading, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations are executed as per SOPs and customer SLAs
- Ensure timely delivery and stock availability across all orders
- Handle pre-pack brand stock within defined cut-off timelines with strict adherence to SOPs and quality standards
Inventory & Fresh Produce Management
- Manage bulk inventory including onion, potato, garlic, and imported chilled items
- Ensure accurate daily stock tracking for fruits and vegetables
- Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstocking or stock-outs
- Monitor and enforce expiry checks, shelf life, FIFO/FEFO compliance
- Conduct daily inventory cycle counts with same-day variance closure
- Ensure timely liquidation of damaged/expired stock to maximize cost recovery
- Maintain and update inventory records through Google Sheets / Quip or similar systems
SLA & Performance Management
- Drive key warehouse KPIs, including:
- Order Fulfilment Rate
- Inbound Processing TAT
- Inventory Accuracy
- Shelf-life adherence
- Dispatch timelines
- Ensure consistent adherence to customer SLAs and internal benchmarks
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Lead regular (weekly/monthly) performance reviews with customers
- Proactively resolve operational challenges and drive service excellence
P&L & Cost Optimization
- Own and manage site-level P&L
- Drive cost efficiencies through productivity improvements and waste reduction
Team Leadership & Compliance
- Lead and manage warehouse teams across shifts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
