The role
The Inventory Business Partner JL3 plays a key role as a trusted advisor to the business, acting as a bridge between Operations, Maintenance, Finance and Procurement. This role is responsible for ensuring strong governance, visibility and optimization of inventories and assets, supporting operational continuity while enabling sound financial decision‑making. The position combines hands‑on control with analytical insight, always aligned with business priorities and long‑term asset management practices.
Key responsibilities
The Inventory Business Partner is accountable for the end‑to‑end management of inventories and assets, ensuring accuracy, availability and efficiency across the terminal. Key responsibilities include:
Managing physical and system inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits and variance resolution
Controlling fixed and operational assets, including registrations, disposals, transfers and valuation
Calculating and monitoring depreciation, amortization, obsolescence and asset impairments
Ensuring integrity and reconciliation of data across ERP, maintenance and accounting systems
Optimizing stock levels by analyzing consumption, rotation, lead times and criticality
Coordinating replenishment strategies with Procurement and suppliers to ensure availability of critical spare parts
Supporting maintenance teams by aligning inventory planning with preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance needs
Evaluating warehouse layout, storage practices and inventory holding costs to drive optimization initiatives
Developing and delivering inventory and asset reports, dashboards and KPIs
Supporting internal and external audits with reliable data and documentation
Advising stakeholders on inventory and asset decisions aligned with business strategy and financial objectives
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating at the intersection of operations, finance and supply chain, and who enjoys translating data into business insight. The ideal candidate brings:
Solid experience in inventory management, asset control or supply chain roles, preferably in operational or asset‑intensive environments
Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting, inventory valuation and warehouse processes
Ability to analyze data, identify trends and propose practical improvements
Confidence to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence decision‑making
Experience working with ERP systems and maintenance management systems
High attention to detail combined with a continuous improvement mindset
