APM Terminals
As part of our Growth Strategy at APM Terminals, we are investing in greenfield projects to expand our existing footprint and working with our existing brownfield sites to ensure best-in-class terminals across the globe. Our ability to design and build a terminal, establish an operational organization and secure commercial business is pivotal to achieving these ambitions.
The Governance, Reporting and Analytics Lead is accountable for two distinct areas across a multi-billion-dollar global portfolio of capital infrastructure projects and the BIM function: governance and assurance, and reporting and analytics. The role owns the assurance framework used to monitor and evidence the application of existing BIM standards, controls, and processes. Separately, the role owns BIM reporting and analytics, including reporting standards, data requirements, performance insights, and decision-support information for senior leaders and stakeholders.
This position has a global scope and will provide PMO governance and reporting services to capital investment projects, working across the Business Implementation Management transversal, from the front end of architectural design and engineering to project execution and sustainment in operations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Governance, Reporting and Analytics Lead will have responsibility for the following:
Leadership:
Lead, coach, and mentor one or more direct reports, providing clear direction, prioritisation, development support, and quality assurance.
Governance and Assurance:
Design, implement, and continuously improve the BIM assurance framework used to monitor and evidence application of existing standards, controls, and processes.
Ensure governance and assurance requirements are understood, consistently applied, and appropriately evidenced across the portfolio.
Own, maintain, and evolve the system of meetings and communication flow within BIM, ensuring it remains fit for purpose, lean, and aligned with business needs.
Reporting and Analytics:
Lead BIM portfolio-level and functional-level reporting, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, relevant, and decision-oriented.
Define and maintain reporting standards, data requirements, validation routines, and quality controls to support consistent and trusted outputs.
Translate complex data into clear insights on performance, risks, trends, and required actions for senior leaders and stakeholders.
Leverage AI and automation to streamline reporting workflows, reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and strengthen analytical capabilities.
Resource Management:
Oversee BIM resource forecasting and utilisation reporting, ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent, and decision-oriented.
Provide clear insights on resource demand, capacity, and emerging gaps to support portfolio planning and leadership decisions.
Project Systems (Software):
Work with Technology teams to define and implement system strategy for standardised project portfolio management.
Ensure alignment between system capabilities, reporting requirements, and analytics needs.
Oversee system governance and continuous improvement, ensuring operational administration, maintenance, licensing, and user support are appropriately managed.
REPORTING AND SCOPE:
This position reports to Head of PMO and will have a small team of direct reports.
Geographical Scope: Global projects; with Head Office located in The Hague (onsite position).
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
A broad range of experience across project management and project controls disciplines, including planning, cost and estimating, risk management, change management, stakeholder management and Earned Value Management, Document Management.
Experience developing and working with project standards and delivering project assurance.
Experience in developing high quality reports and performance insights for management.
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Project Management Systems such as Oracle Primavera.
Experience in data analytic tools such as Power BI, PowerApps, Miro.
Excellent interpersonal skills with an open mind and a positive attitude.
Strong ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights succinctly and facilitate sessions when required.
Minimum 10 years exposure to project management environments, preferably in the construction industry.
Project management qualifications desirable (PMI, Prince2, APMPMQ or equivalent).
There may be some travel required as part of this role
