Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and according to yard layout.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The main purpose of the role is to safely operate reach stackers & Empty container handlers in accordance to planning schedule and supervisor instructions.

• Operates Empty Handler/Reach Stacker to stack containers in a safe manner within the allocated stacking areas by adding support to the smooth functioning in yard operation.

• Coordinate with the planning section and yard Planner/Technical ops Lead/Loading Clerk for instructions on positions or areas to stack containers.

• The key impact of this incumbent will be the delivery of operational efficiencies and execution of day-to-day operational activities.

• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct block at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and fuel

• Operate to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops

• Housekeeping moves and environment

Accountable for:

• Carry out all routine pre and post inspection on CHE

• Following safe operating procedures and instructions

• Follow work queue instructions directed by planning for discharge and/or evacuation sequences.

• Identifies and report any controls malfunctions before, during or after the shift

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Requires at least two years of equipment handling or similar work experience in a commercial port environment.

• Requires a high level of planning and organizational skills

• Has knowledge of different types of CHE and their characteristics

• Excellent visual acuity, No color blindness
