Working Student (d/f/m) within Future Projects - Tool Development

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Drive the development and optimization of internal engineering tools utilizing Python.
  
• Focus specifically on the development of an advanced Loads assessment tool.
  
• Collect, aggregate, and structure reference data from various engineering sources.
  
• Perform thorough verification and validation of the developed tool using real-world Airbus aircraft data.
  
• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary research and engineering teams to translate aerodynamic and structural requirements into software solutions.
  
• Maintain effective communication within the project team, participating in regular meetings and progress updates.
  

Desired skills and qualifications

• Enrolled Master’s student (d/f/m) in Computational Science, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field of study.
  
• Strong background in software development with high proficiency in Python.
  
• Solid understanding of aerodynamics and lightweight structures.
  
• Good foundational knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM).
  
• Familiarity with modern collaboration tools (GSuite) and experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Gemini) is highly desirable.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  
• Fluent in English. German is a plus.
