Work Preparation Engineer

Responsible for overall program management, including end-to-end definition, cost estimation, and overseeing execution through to customer delivery. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely Work Order issuance, supply chain readiness, production initiation, parts delivery, and adherence to milestones for assembly, integration, and testing. This role involves resolving production issues locally or escalating to central teams when necessary and serving as the primary Operations interface with other organizations.

  • Prepare cost for job scopes and provide pricing recommendations aligned with organizational guidelines by identifying all cost elements, including materials, labor, production, logistics, and overhead expenses.
  • Evaluate risks, contingencies, and potential variances in cost projections.
  • Compiling daily production data, continuously updating visual management for ongoing production.
  • Prepare Work Order and Engineering Order in accordance with the work scope.
  • Material requirements planning (MRP): Taking account of spares in the inventory, identifying additional needs and scheduling order for on time delivery.
  • Follow the work progress / manage daily meeting with the project teams.
  • Perform damage/defect assessment, prepare report, proposes repair/rectification solution and liaisons with Tech Support network counterparts for maintenance beyond O & I levels. / provide associated repair costing
  • Manages technical solutions for unplanned work scope, including troubleshooting, repair, obsolescence management and other deviation from production plan.
  • Manages work pack closing with MRO, CAMO,..
  • Continuous cost capturing throughout the production process including costing, man hour clocking, service provider management, production KPI, excess spare return, rework and warranty.
  • Ensure work scope executed in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and Airbus quality and standard.
  • Ensure project closing with complete documentation in compliance with regulatory requirement and
  • customer/contractual specific requirement.
  • Proficient in AH technical tools such as Veryon, Envision, AirbusWorld, ORION, TIPI, WebTEK, SCDM, ChildNeo, SAP, NormMaster, Bflow etc.
  • Optimize production flow, task sequence and input/output schedule for efficiency, flexibility and profitability of the Operations.
  • Ensure AHM commercial processes, finance rules and export control are complied.
  • Reporting safety concerns and synthesizing corrective action.
  • Support other activities within the Engineering Department as required.
