The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international
program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business
function.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements :
• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old (a V.I.E mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)
• Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
• Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28 For more information: https://mon-vie-via.businessfrance.fr/
(in English, German, Italian and Spanish) The contract duration of VIE is between 6 to 24 months.

Within the Airbus EU and NATO Public Affairs Office in Brussels, the candidate will assist the EU Commercial aircraft team with respect to aviation-related regulatory topics. This will notably involve analysis, monitoring, position paper preparation and participation in meetings with internal specialists and in external meetings with associations or public authorities.
Tasks and responsibilities :
- Supporting the tracking of EU developments of interest for Airbus, especially in the aviation, digital and resilience fields.
- Working with the relevant internal teams to assess the impacts of these future legislations onto Airbus’ activities.
- Supporting the preparation of position papers, both at Airbus level and with associations, that clearly explain the company’s positioning.
- Supporting the Public Affairs team to make sure that this position is voiced to the appropriate decision-makers and through appropriate associations and networks when relevant.
Required skills :
Education and experience
- Post-graduate in European affairs and/or public affairs, lobbying, political science, international relations, economics or law.
- Minimum 1 year experience in European affairs preferred, experience in European institutions an asset.
- Demonstrated interest in aeronautics and aviation. Interest in European transport, digital, trade or research policy is an asset.
- A regulatory background will be a plus.
