Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Transport supplier manager (f/m) to join our Customer Services Department within the Supply Chain Operations team in Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS) based in Toulouse, France.

At Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS), we are ensuring and guaranteeing the overall operational delivery of FHS-components in a continuously airworthy condition that supports safely and profitably customer fleet operations.

You will be member of the Flight Hour Services (FHS) Plateau based in Toulouse, reports operationally and functionally to the FHS Global transport lead.

You will work with the transport team located in Toulouse but also in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of FHS transport suppliers.

Your challenges:

Responsibilities:

The principle responsibilities of the roles can be summarised as follows :

  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Manage the relationship with the transport suppliers, including performance monitoring, weekly/monthly reviews, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure the Supplier/FHS contract is properly applied, identify any deviations, and escalate them to management.
    • Manage the documentation including Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) between FHS and the supplier: review, ensure application, update, and maintenance.
  • Performance and Reporting:
    • Actively participate in the design, implementation, follow-up, and challenge of KPIs with subcontractors.
    • Report the supplier's transportation performance, upcoming challenges, the global transport market situation, and potential corrective/mid-term plans.
    • Provide clear visibility to the Global transport lead and ensure escalations are "drumbeat" (actioned/followed up).
    • Data analysis oriented to be able to challenge the supplier
  • Improvement and Projects:
    • Support internal and external stakeholders in conducting transport analysis with suppliers and developing improvement plans.
    • Lead or collaborate with the supplier and team to undertake and implement continuous improvement projects.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement projects that are part of the FHS transformation.
    • Lead IT development to support the transport activity.
  • Savings Management:
    • Establish a Baseline with the supplier, review the initiatives and validate the project and its implementation.
    • Indirect/Potential Gains saving: Efficiency gains that improve productivity and reduce hidden costs
  • Stakeholder Support:
    • Support the transport department and FHS stakeholders on dedicated topics such as Freight audit, Tender, customs, supply chain optimization, Claims & Complaints, and FHS change projects.
    • Be able to present the results of analysis or corrective actions to FHS customers if necessary.
    • Be able to manage subcontractors workpackages
    • Be able to work on an international environment


Your boarding pass:

Professional skills :

  • Minimum 10 years experience in Logistic and Supply Chain domain
  • Expert in transport, customs scheme and international operations
  • Supplier management experience
  • A professional level in English is mandatory
  • French is a plus
  • Green Belt certification is a plus

Soft skills :

  • Team spirit, agile and flexible to work in a dynamic environment where customer is drum beating time and requirements
  • Pragmatic and well organized
  • Able to work efficiently across the business and functional boundaries
  • Quality orientated and customer service driven
  • Strong & driven position in front of the supplier

Business travels can be expected in the world and consequently, you must be willing to travel accordingly up to 10/15%.
