An opportunity for a Technical Data Spares Engineer has arisen within Airbus Operations SL , Getafe .

The selected candidate will join the Technical Data department (SIDS41) . Our team is a center of expertise for Technical Data AIRFRAME topics, responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting critical aircraft maintenance documentation, including the Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC), Structural Repair Manual (SRM), and Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM). These manuals are vital for our customers ensuring the continuous airworthiness of aircraft. Beyond core technical activities, we are engaged in the development of the Airbus Operating System (AOS) and innovative projects like Generative AI.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The jobholder will be responsible for the following main tasks:

  • Data Analysis & Impact Assessment: Analyze and gather source data from various inputs (e.g., MPM, Service Bulletins, Concessions, Customer Originated Changes) to determine their impact on technical data.
  • Authoring & Quality Assurance: Initiate and oversee authoring activities with our external network, steering subcontracted efforts, and meticulously checking the quality of deliveries to ensure ICA certification.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical interface with critical departments such as the Design Office, Service Bulletins, Engineering Support, and Final Assembly Line.
  • Customer & Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and subcontractors; provide timely answers to customer queries using the Tech Request tool.
  • Performance Monitoring: Assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports, launching necessary corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation: Participate in problem-solving initiatives for technical data issues and contribute to projects shaping the future of documentation processes, including continuous improvement actions.

  • Education: Strong technical background
  • Experience:
    • Understanding and practical experience in configuration management principles.
    • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings effectively.
    • Experience in managing and coordinating external subcontractors.
  • Soft skills:
    • Proven aptitude for working collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
    • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive approach to meeting user needs.
    • Highly motivated with a commitment to excellence.
  • Languages: Advanced level of English proficiency (B2 or equivalent).
  • Technical knowledge:
    • Familiarity with relevant design office tools such as ICC ACP, AIRINA, PASS SSI, PSE.
    • Experience with SAP.
    • Understanding of aircraft spare parts and specific knowledge of aircraft airframes.
    • Valuable: Knowledge of technical data authoring processes and tools.
    • Valuable: Awareness or experience with new technologies like Generative AI (GenAI) and/or Python programming.
