Job Description:

We are seeking an Airframe Structural Design Engineer profile with a minimum, and proof, of 15 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to the detailed design, as components than assemblies and interfaces.

Abilities, skills and competencies:

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to design structures of components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production / assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate Design Tools.
  • Ability to identify the technical activities of the development E2E life cycle that are necessary to develop a system/product and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulations and Airbus Defense derivatives programmes requirements.
  • Desirable previous skills, knowledge and proof experience in other Airbus Defense programmes and S/C external companies
  • Able to work in definition, conceptl and development phases interfacing with other stakeholders functions such as, Chief Engineer, Architects & Integrators, Stress analysis, Manufacturing, Configuration, M&P.
  • Studies: Master degree of Aeronautical or Industrial Engineer (or similar engineering discipline).
  • Experience: Experience level: >10 years of experience in Metallic and Composites technologies applied to the airframe structural design.
  • Toold & Methods: Good level of design, configuration and modelisation knownledge and Airbus overall design tools use and methods (e.g. Catia, Full 3D, EPD, Optegra, 3dx, SNT...)
  • Languages: Good fluent level of English Language. Desirable some knowledge of French.
  • Good communication skills and team working spirit


Tasks:

As a member of our team, you will develop and perform the following challenging tasks and activities:

  • Concept, Definition and Development design for structural components, assemblies and installations for aircrafts with modern design tools. Catia but no limited are the basic tools you will use in context with others stakeholders.
  • Establishment of the Design principles, Key Characteristics Design, Interface definition. Active participation on the Collaborative process with Industrial part and Customer through Services.
  • Supporting the complete lifecycle of an aircraft in a E2E Design Process you will use additional modern Tools and Software applications.
  • Strong working ties to other Engineering departments (e.g., stress, system installation, material & processes, aerodynamic, configuration, DMU,...) and interfacing Design will broaden continuously your knowledge.
  • Support various stakeholders with technical knowledge (e.g. purchasing, manufacturing engineering, production...). Follow-up of the design Suppliers.
  • You will participate applying the state of the art of the design methods in the most of advanced military projects.
  • You will have the opportunity to see the result of your work in the final product and to be part of continuous improvement and technology projects.
  • Participation in the development of the technological areas of structural discipline.
