We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to join our growing Supply Chain Management team in Coimbra. In this role, you will bridge the gap between strategic leadership and daily operations, guiding a talented local team dedicated to supporting and enabling Airbus's core business .

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Leadership

  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with the Head of Supply Chain Management to execute local strategy and implement supply chain policies.
  • People Development: Manage team competencies, identify training needs, and foster continuous professional growth.
  • Process Excellence: Drive process harmonization, standardization, and continuous improvement opportunities across the back-office ecosystem.
  • Onboarding & Culture: Support the AGBS onboarding process for newcomers, ensuring strong global Airbus organization awareness and tool fluency (IT, HR, and supply chain systems).
  • Communication: Act as the local focal point for sub-commodities and effectively cascade corporate information to the team.

Operational Management

  • Portfolio Oversight: Supervise the daily management of the supplier portfolio, balancing supply chain priorities and leveraging modern digital tools.
  • Risk & Strategy: Anticipate operational risks, drive robust mitigation actions, and contribute to business strategy definition.
  • Resource Planning: Monitor and manage team workload, coordinating seamlessly with Core Country managers.

Stakeholder & Project Management

  • Customer Relationships: Build and sustain robust relationships with internal customers to resolve daily operational bottlenecks.
  • Special Projects: Support local and commodity Heads of Supply Chain on strategic initiatives and process improvement projects.

Requirements: Our Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a commercial or industrial Supply Chain/Procurement environment operating under tight deadlines.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in team management, team building, conflict resolution, and employee training.
  • Skills: Strong cross-functional relationship-building skills with the ability to organize multiple complex tasks and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Systems: Working knowledge of SAP is highly desirable, paired with a strong desire to adopt and drive new digital tools.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (daily interaction with native speakers is required). Fluency in French, German, or Spanish is a strong plus.
