WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER

POSITION LOCATION: FORT ERIE, ONTARIO

The Supplier Quality Engineer will report to the POA IMS Quality Manager and will be responsible and accountable for planning and performing Supplier Quality related tasks and activities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier Quality

  • Evaluating new suppliers with Risk based evaluation
  • Performing on site audits on Category 1 Suppliers as outlined in AH procedures.
  • Performing on site audits on Customer centres
  • Performing vendor evaluation on OASIS for Category 4 suppliers as outlined in AH procedures.
  • Performing vendor evaluation for Non OASIS Category 4 suppliers as outlined in AH procedures.
  • Managing MRB topics related to Supplier NCs.
  • Managing containment of Supplier delivered non conforming products.
  • managing NOEs related to supplier non conformances.
  • Creating and maintaining monthly scorecards
  • Management ( Communicating, review of RCCA and effectiveness) of Supplier NCs.
  • Management of documentation NC causes with Suppliers.
  • Performing Monthly Supplier Data Trend Analyses.
  • Driving Quality workshops with suppliers to proactively improve Quality.
  • Supplier Quality Improvement Plan Management
  • Implementing Risk based Receiving Inspection plans on critical and non critical parts
  • Review and approval of Supplier FAIs
  • Implement NetInspect for AHCA suppliers.
  • SAP Management of OASIS reports and Audit reports for Suppliers in C-SAAM
  • Management of supplier documentation quality issues
  • NC Training on Supplier NCs.
  • Managing Supplier Quality Return products.
  • Working closely with AH and AHD in reducing Supplier Quality NCs on Products and Documentation.
  • Driving End to End PPS’ on Supplier Quality issues for robust corrective actions.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering and/or Quality and/or Procurement or equivalent ASQ certifications.

Experience

  • 7 years of experience in a Quality role in Aerospace, Automotive or regulated industry such as Medical.
  • 3 years of Supplier Quality experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working with suppliers on Supplier Quality Monitoring and Improvements.
  • Experience using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D, FMEA etc.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP etc.
  • Certified Auditor to AS9100D or ISO9001 or equivalent.
  • Lean Methodologies an asset
  • Six Sigma certification an asset.
