Job Description:

We are currently looking for:

Structures Test Leader

Location: Filton, Bristol

Contract: Full time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Duties:

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include leading highly critical structural tests and other business critical projects, including but not limited to;

-Test Definition

- Support to performance of structural tests

- Ensuring calibration of equipment

- Acquisition of physical data

- Test Reporting

Regular reporting and stakeholder management of test customers, including arranging/chairing meetings
Financial governance of test budget and allocation of test resource
Securing adherence to the Structures Test Quality Process DE.PA.04.02 and respect of all suitable transnational processes, methods and tools
Securing adherence to all HS&E policies
Launch subcontracting activities following policy, managing purchasing and goods receipt
Anticipate, identify and manage risks & opportunities

Our requirements:

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Aerospace, Structures, Materials, Physics).
+5 years of experience in:

- Project management & delivery projects to time, cost, quality.

- Aeronautical structures.

Experience in structures or materials testing would be an advantage.
Experience in managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection would be an advantage
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Independent and structured way of working
Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility
