Stress Analysis & integration Engineer - Airbus Commercial Engineering Center

As part of Airbus’s ambition to grow a proficient and competitive Engineering organisation, we are launching a Commercial Aircraft Engineering Centre in Poland. This initiative aims to leverage Poland’s talent pool and technological ecosystem, specifically in the field of Propulsion systems, while supporting our broader Engineering workload and competitiveness requirements, and reinforcing Airbus’ strategic engagement with Poland.

Role Overview

Join the “Propulsion airframe” domain to drive the full product lifecycle-from Research & Technology (R&T) through development and in-service support. You will be responsible for analysis of Nacelle and Pylon Airframe products and integration stress compliance.

Specific roles within the team include:

  • Contributing to Airbus proprietary products, such as air inlet or Pylon stress deliverables
  • Specifying, guiding, and validating supplier Nacelle components stress compliance
  • Integrate and generate interface loads and displacements computing engine, nacelle and Pylon stress integrated model.

In this frame, the propulsion engineering domain needs you to improve and develop our products and our dynamic stress structure community !

Key Responsibilities

1. Structure stress static or Fatigue and damage tolerances analysis and validation

  • Justification and Certification:
    • Contribute to certification activities & design modifications (calculations, Stress Dossiers, SSR, drawings signature, etc.).
    • Sign concessions in support of production.
  • Technical Expertise & Support:
    • Participate on airworthiness subjects through OCC and, if necessary, present subjects to certification authorities.
    • Support continuous product improvement.
    • Develop yourself on the whole perimeter (pylon & engine mounts), serial and R&T activities
    • Provide operational support to the teams on-demand, focusing on hot topics and crisis situations on serial and R&T perimeters
  • Community and Knowledge Capitalization:
    • Be an integral part of the stress community (be a link with seniors, principals)
    • Actively contribute to the transformation platform
    • Be part of the technical community with leads and seniors, covering also FEM and vibrations
    • Be accountable for capitalization of knowledge
    • Ensure adherence and contribute to processes and capabilities' continuous improvement.
    • Develop your signatures rights

2. Stress “buy” Components integration

  • Define and execute stress analysis strategies for nacelle components, ensuring
  • compliance with airworthiness regulations and internal standards, while understanding and adapting to Nacelle Manufacturer practices.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of stress reports, justifications, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with integration team and other engineering disciplines to integrate stress analysis results into the overall product development lifecycle.
  • Represent the stress team in technical reviews, design gates, and certification meetings with relevant authorities and customers.
  • Identify and mitigate potential structural risks, proposing innovative solutions and improvements to nacelle design.
  • Manage workload, resources, and schedules for stress activities within WG1 to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in all stress engineering activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of stress analysis methodologies, tools, and processes.

The Ideal Profile

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in stress analysis of aircraft structures, with significant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of metallic and composite material behavior and associated stress analysis
  • Familiarity with airworthiness regulations (EASA, FAA) and certification processes.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft design, manufacturing processes, and structural testing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international team environment.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of tools such as Nastran, Hypermesh, ISAMI, Abaqus would be a significant advantage.
