In order to support Airbus Helicopters we are looking for a

Strategic Buyer Avionics Equipment (d/f/m)

Within Avionics procurement, we are looking for a Strategic Buyer (d/f/m) to integrate the Flight Control Systems and Cockpit Displays commodity composed of a transnational team of 15 buyers across France and Germany.

You will have in your portfolio strategic Build to Spec Suppliers with a worldwide footprint involved in critical developments. This position enables cross-company cooperation with internal transnational customers and partners such as: Design Office, Program, Operational Procurement, Support & Services, Legal, SCQM.

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • As a Buyer (m/f/d) in the Strategic Area, you will support the procurement activities, management of bidding and contract negotiation in order to achieve the best possible purchasing conditions in accordance with the company requirements
  • You will manage the tenders according to the specified process
  • You will support the MFT executives (m/f/d) in the implementation of the mid-term strategy and the mapping of the supply chain
  • Contract owner (m/f/d) from initial proposals through price extensions, entitlements, incentives, termination and/or settlement agreements
  • Supply chain competitiveness performance: responsible for spend performance, monitoring and anticipating price trends
  • You will ensure data quality within SAP: pricing conditions, validity periods, supplier mapping
  • You will support operations on various issues: missing parts, pricing, obsolescence, etc.


Desired skills and qualifications

  • Completed studies in the field of economics, procurement, engineering or comparable
  • At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and contract and project management or similar
  • Agility with IT solutions (SAP, G-Suite)
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers in an international environment
  • Very good team skills, organizational skills, communication and negotiation skills
  • Autonomous, accountable & business/result oriented
  • Business fluent in English, good knowledge in German and French desirable
  • Occasional business trips are a prerequisite
