Job Description:

The role reports to the Chief Engineer and the Head of Engineering and is responsible for the system verification and validation of a large security system during and after its deployment. This also includes the acceptance process with the customer. The role is based in Riyadh, but frequent travel to locations in Saudi Arabia is required. Occasional international travel is also expected.

Person Specifications:

The successful candidate shall hold the following required qualifications and should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical Engineering / Information Technology or related field
• 10+ years of Experience in the Verification and Validation (V&V) of systems and familiar, with the applicable INCOSE and international system engineering standards, or holding a ISTQB Certification
• Ability to educate other V&V engineers hands-on, in theory and practice, to continuously improve V&V skills of the team
• Experience in the writing of test procedures and test reports
• Experience in the detailed planning of work and deliverables
• Ability to work in a customer-oriented environment and within the cultural environment of Saudi Arabia
• Analytical thinking and Strong engineering mindset
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Strong listening skills (to understand customer requirements)
• Strong service orientation and on-time delivery focus
• Cost, Quality and Time sensitiveness
• Act as team player and being cooperative
• Used to work solution oriented
• Flexible (willingness to travel to remote sensor sites)
• Good written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts
• Essential to be fluent in written and spoken English
• Desirable to be able to communicate in Arabic

Benefitial Qualifications and Experience:

• PMP or ISAQB certification
• Have a strong engineering background working on large integration projects
• Experience in working with direct interface to the customer
• Have worked with a broad range of information technology systems e.g. Networking, Storage, Server, Virtualization, System/Network administration etc.
• Detailed experience in relevant Information Technology and communication solutions.
• Driving license

Key Result Areas & Areas Of Accountability:

• Experience in Leading a team of V&V Engineers, and act as Domain Lead towards other technical Teams and domains to align and plan tasks
• Play an active role in terms of verification inside development teams and drive the verification and release of software releases or features
• Lead Test Campaigns for Customer Acceptance Events
• Educate and develop of other V&V engineers to extend domain knowledge
• Preparation of test documentation (test procedures, problem reports, test reports) during test campaigns and conduction of reviews for test documentation
• Perform the verification and validation activities at system level for system / customer releases, dedicated test campaigns like load, stress, performance tests
• Use different tools and methods for all kind of V&V tasks like DOORS, Jira, and Quality Center
• Problem reporting, including the collection of material to support root-cause analysis
• Track bugs and perform retesting of fixed issues, interacting very close with the involved development team
• Act self-sustained and as a team player and team lead
