Job Description:

Exciting Opportunities have been raised for Systems Engineering [SE] and Model Based Systems Engineering [MBSE] leaders supporting end to end new Helicopters Systems development within Airbus Helicopters.

Airbus Helicopters is undergoing a significant digital transformation to benefit from the latest advances in new technologies and targets which is a major efficiency breakthrough across programs and product lifecycle. It will be enabled through a set of innovative concepts such as “Model Based Systems Engineering”, modular product lines, digital continuity, and concurrent co-development of the product, industrial setup and service features.

You will join the Avionics Systems Architecture Department and will integrate multifunctional and transnational team working on Systems Engineering and MBSE deployment.

You will be responsible to mature & deploy a common SE/MBSE understanding and common frameworks inside Airbus Helicopters for architecting and developing in the right way (effective & efficient) our products.

You will support innovative concepts to capture customers' needs, to capture discipline knowledge, specify & define architecture from the early stage to detailed definition and assess architecture in a more systematic way (in particular through operability, safety, security and performance standpoints). You will support digitization applying semantic web techniques to maintain a good data continuity between product, process, methods & tools, based on ontology and also promote the usage of AI in such discipline (Advanced MBSE, MBE).

As part of Avionics Systems Architecture Department, you will be responsible for:

Systems activities:

  • Contribute to Systems developments by fostering SE/MBSE, coaching/mentoring team,
  • Support to certification/qualification audits,


Process, Method & Tools activities :

  • Promoting into Systems Directorate, the extended use of state-of-the art SE/MBSE methodologies on legacy and emerging Programs and monitoring the deployment, in particular, on the MBSE activities benefiting to Product Architecture performances, from requirements establishment until in cycle, but also during design & intermediate phases to ultimate V&V process,
  • Defining and maintaining harmonized MBSE & Architecture framework (supporting out of cycle and in cycle development phase) in close collaboration with other Airbus Helicopters Entities and in coherence with programs & demonstrators roadmaps,
  • Modelling environment preparation for Systems development projects,
  • Model consistency reviews/audits,
  • Models Configuration management for Systems.


A System Engineering process, based on ARP4754, is supporting all the daily tasks and requires a certain level of formalization.

Education:

  • Engineer in Avionics, or Electronics or Systems Engineering
  • Experience: 5-10 years or more
  • Languages: Fluent in French and English


To achieve all these missions, the candidate will have to be:

On top of this, knowledge on the following items, could be a plus:

  • Modelling & Simulation experience (including technics, standards as SysML, UML, BPMN & tools as HOPEX, CAMEO & CATIA or 3DX)
  • Ontology modelling (standards as OWL, tools as HOPEX)
  • Operational & functional analysis (MOFL)
