We are now hiring a Retrofit Specialist to our Customer Services team in Airbus GBS.

The Retrofit Specialist role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems, project management at Program level and customer needs.

Overall Responsibility: E2E Retrofit Management to initiate, prepare, launch and monitor any mitigation & any retrofit solution in accordance with Program/Customer targets (time, cost, quality).

Main Activities:
Industrialize Supply Chain by analyzing and planning industrial lead times & capacity :
1. Understand the technical solution and take the lead of the deployment (responsible on behalf of Program)
2. Contribute & Challenge Program retrofit & mitigation strategy and Support development of technical solutions.
3. Translate the Program & retrofit requirements (target cost per aircraft, embodiment rate, policy etc) into inputs to other departments, including the Supply Chain manager.
4. Provide all required inputs to Supply Chain Manager to enable supply chain industrialization of retrofit with kits or complex retrofit.
5. Contribute to negotiation supplier capacity & cost alignment with Procurement, material reservation and missing parts management.
6. Define & steer all inputs from Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers, Supply-chain, Program to ensure global retrofit strategy in accordance with retrofit objectives (time, cost, quality) and the retrofit embodiment until final fleet completion.

Influence retrofit strategy considering inputs from Supply Chain Manager (ie limitations on inventory, volume, supply chain capacities, sales etc).
Follow-up and monitor each individual project ensuring OTQC delivery of material (parts, tooling, kits & equipment) of each project until completion of each MSN:

1. Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager for customer order priorities on any retrofit with kits.
2. Support the airline/Program for any industrial queries on a retrofit or Airbus parts mitigation.

Manage an airline portfolio:
1. Implement trustful relationships with major operators to accelerate embodiment of retrofit campaigns.
2. Build and agree on operator retrofit packages for A/C groundings, in particular for C checks involving major structural retrofits.
3. Contribute to sustain OR by closing fleet improvement retrofits with this major operator.

The Airline Manager is the voice of the customer for any industrial queries on a retrofit or Airbus parts mitigation. He/She/They is participating to SMM, TRM with her/his/their dedicated airline portfolio on program request. He/She/They is supporting specific airline needs (specific grounding, working parties) or specific projects linked to monitored retrofits packages.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have:

- Proven airline customer-facing experience

- Customer focused mindset

- Ability to create a strong and trustful customer relationship and manage customer expectations. You believe in listening to the customer, as much as being able to give clear explanation and resolve potential issues

- Overall aircraft knowledge or the ability to quickly adopt technical insight

- Good communication skills with internal and external customers

- Program management and the right skill sets to drumbeat the internal organization to ensure contractual commitments, customer satisfaction, cost and revenue targets.

- Capacity to build and own project path and to maintain project consistency at any time.

- Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, build strong cross functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

- Problem solving mindset / Dynamic / Proactive

- Good organizational skills.

- Good team player: ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams based on different locations and foster consistent ways of working

- Curious and open-minded for change and continuous improvement.

- English Advanced level (written and spoken), an additional language would be an asset.
