Job Description:

We are launching a new position for the Procurement Team at Airbus Portugal GBS!

Responsibilities - your mission

Are you interested in Airbus Supply Chain Operations and in Quality and convinced by the added value of a robust supply chain and a sustainable supply chain ramp-up?

The Supply Chain Quality Manager (SCQM) is an integral part of Airbus' Procurement and accountable for implementing the procurement strategy defined by the Multi-Functional Teams (incl. supplier development) for new product introduction as well as for serial production phase. Another field of activity is to secure the on time and on quality delivery of parts by raising risks, action follow-up, reporting and escalation in case of deviation to industrial target.

In his/her role as ‘Supply Chain Quality Manager’, the jobholder will be responsible for daily business within the Procurement team in the recently founded Airbus Aerostructures company.

Main responsibilities
(depending on 2025 team priorities the focus of task might vary)

  • Supplier Control Review preparation, execution and follow-up.
  • Consolidation and analysis of supplier performance data
  • ‘Control Suppliers’ process management support (e.g. prepare, manage procedural document changes and build targeted communication)
  • Handling supply chain / supplier disruption events (e.g. support with Quality Survey Reports (QSRs) or Safety Related Issues (SARI))
  • Project Management (e.g. support Transfer of Work or Supply Chain RampUp activities)


Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

  • University degree in engineering and/or business school
  • Past experience in engineering, production, procurement, supply chain or logistics and Project Management
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations (e.g. EASA Part 21) and problem solving / improvement skills are a plus
  • He/she will be fluent in English both written and verbal. German or willingness to learn German would be a plus.
  • He/she will have a strong ability to communicate effectively with the capacity to work across functions
  • He/she will be a team player and will be comfortable with remote working..
  • He/she likes dealing with various activities and multiple interfaces (Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) both Airbus and tiers in a constant evolving environment
  • Occasional travel when needed
