We have an exciting opportunity as

Project Supply Manager (PSM) (d/f/m)

based in Friedrichshafen/Immenstaad site, serving the Earth Observation, Science and Exploration (EOSX) Business Line to strengthen the EOSX Programme Procurement team.

In the role of PSM for EOSX Programmes you will manage, represent and orchestrate the whole Procurement organisation towards EOSX Programmes. You will be instrumental on both Early Phases and Bid preparation (Phase B1 and B2/C/D Bids), as well as on the execution of firm Projects securing external supplier deliveries and de-risking production of our satellite missions and platforms.

Your main tasks will be

  • Lead and orchestrate all sourcing from suppliers towards the Project/Programme/Bid
  • Ensure On-Time, On-Cost and On-Quality from suppliers by mitigating risks and managing deviations in close collaboration with Project/Programme Management, Engineering, AIT/Production and all other Procurement roles (Commodity, Supply Chain, Supplier Development, Contracts, ...)
  • Maintain and consolidate Programme dedicated dashboards and reporting on Subcontractor performance, namely risk management, schedule, supplier cashout and change management
  • Consolidate and drive adherence to project EAC's in the procurement domain, monitor cost evolution and drive respective mitigation plans/resource planning
  • Ensure that Procurement processes are correctly and systematically applied, as well as deviations configured
  • Secure competitive, reliable and compliant supplier offers in support of Bids or new programmatic needs (schedule, price and technical maturity)

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree level in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in Procurement, and/or Project Management, and/or Engineering in the space industry (or comparable business sector). Business/Commercial or Industrial Engineering experience is a plus
  • Extensive experience of working in a project environment
  • Knowledge of working with institutional agencies in aerospace and/or space industry would be a plus
  • Experience of working in an international/multi-cultural environment
  • Negotiation level in English is required, German is of advantage
