We at Airbus Defence and Space in Ottobrunn are looking for a Project Management Officer (m/f/d) for the area “Connected Intelligence” in the Programme Unit “Space Digital / Secure Connectivity DACH”.

The PMO framework is well outlined and characterized by Airbus Corporate Standardization Documents. Accordingly, the Project Management Officer shall deliver methods, processes and tools in support to the Bid/Project team and act as co-pilot.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Maintain the Project Management Plan and ensure adherence to this plan
- Manage the Project Management digital ecosystem to operate the project (e.g. Unified Planning, ADProjects, ARM, collaboration tools)
- Prepare and facilitate meetings and support preparation of milestones
- Act as PM co-pilot in proactively planning and preparing Maturity Gates
- Maintain the project’s action register and drive the timely closure of actions
- Coordinate preparation of reports in various formats for both internal and external customers
- Maintain the project’s integrated plan in the appropriate toolset (e.g. Unified Planning), embedding inputs from all contributing stakeholders
- Identify and track the project’s critical path, and propose measures to shorten it
- Maintain the Risk and Opportunity (R&O) Management Plan of the project
- Maintain the R&O register, including facilitation, capture, and assessment of risks and opportunities
- Drive the definition and follow-up of R&O mitigation actions, organise the necessary project R&O reviews
- Prepare and contribute to project export control related activities
- Proactively seek out and implement improvements in your way of working, and in the overall execution of the project
Desired skills and qualifications:
- You have successfully completed studies in Engineering or Business Administration with multiple years of experience in leading projects or as a PMO
- An Airbus PMO Certification / PMP certification would be a plus
- You are able to understand technical complexities and risks of our projects
- You can anticipate needs and issues in support of the Project Manager and act as co-pilot
- You have excellent communication and facilitation skills
- You feel comfortable working across functions, in international teams and environments, and influencing and persuading stakeholders amid conflicting priorities
- You master typical office applications and are generally well-versed in digital tools, with experience in standard scheduling tools (e.g. Unified Planning)
- You have a very good command of German and English (written and spoken)
- You are able to get security clearances (GE national)
