Program Quality Manager for the PDTs (Product Delivery Team) (d/f/m)

Introduction of role, department, team and project

The European EuroDrone (Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) is the first Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) designed for flight in non-segregated airspace and will be capable of performing a range of ISTAR missions, both wide area and in theatre. The EuroDrone is designed to become one of the main pillars of any future combat air system, prepared for integration into civil airspace based on minimal restrictions and easy transportability due to its modular design.

As a Program Quality Manager (PQM) within the TAOQU organisation, you will be the single point of contact for Quality within your assigned Product Delivery Team (PDT#). You will be fully responsible for ensuring the deployment of quality activities on Quality, on Time, and on Cost along the entire product lifecycle (engineering and operations).

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

Located about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy re ach.

Our Benefits for You

  • Fair Compensation & Extras: Attractive remuneration and individual additional benefits, such as company pension schemes, mobility offers (e.g., bike leasing), or corporate discounts with partner companies in accordance with our current guidelines.
  • Time for You (and Your Loved Ones): 30 days of annual leave based on our collective agreement (35-hour week); work-life balance through flexible working hours (flextime), mobile working, part-time options, job sharing, and sabbatical opportunities.
  • Growth Made Easy: Excellent professional development opportunities and international, group-wide career perspectives.
  • Feel Good at Work: On-site company doctor; comprehensive health programs (sports courses, preventive care, etc.), canteen and cafeteria, and local childcare facilities at selected locations.
  • Diversity Connects: Work in a diverse environment with more than 140 nationalities, where exchange, mutual support, and inclusion are part of our DNA.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Quality Governance & PDT Interface: Act as the Single Point of Contact for Quality within the PDT#; ensure the communication, negotiation, and implementation of all quality, safety, and reliability requirements throughout the company’s operational processes (develop, fulfil, support, source).
  • Lifecycle & Product Assurance Planning: Devise, plan, and implement the Product Assurance Plan throughout the programme lifecycle (from offer to in-service phase), providing the PDT Manager with the required evidence and degree of quality on time and on cost.
  • Conformity & Attestation: Monitor and attest the conformity of the product with regards to contractual requirements, legal rules, and customer expectations, ensuring all processes comply with required standards.
  • Data Analysis & Preventive Action: Collect, analyze, and visualize product and/or in-service performance data (manual and automatic) to prevent early deviations; deploy preventive techniques (APQP) during baseline changes such as product modifications or manufacturing process updates.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Drive effective corrective and preventive actions using lessons learnt and root cause analysis to mitigate quality issues, while monitoring and assessing the overall quality of project process execution.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Educated to a Diploma or Master’s degree in Engineering, combined with advanced experience in Programme/Project Management and deep, essential experience in Quality Management.
  • Quality Methodologies & Tools: Solid knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and preventive quality techniques; strong IT literacy with practical experience using JIRA and Confluence tools.
  • Airbus Environment & Regulations: Essential experience working within a complex, diverse Airbus Defence and Space environment, including strong knowledge of ITAR and Export Control regulations.
  • Habilitation & Customer Relations: Proven experience in customer relations within multinational environments; an OCCAR Restricted / Ü2 security clearance is mandatory for this role.
