Job Description:

The Business Method Engineer (BME) is responsible for deploying, maintaining and supporting reliable, efficient and integrated production solutions to Operations, in order to enable industrial excellence and contribute to the Company’s profitability and competitiveness.

In the role of ME Digital Sustainability Project Leader, in order to support the Manufacturing community and sites to reach Company Sustainability Objectives in a timely manner, she/he needs to drive digital transformation by enhancing data acquisition and management, developing interfaces for the end users and promoting data management processes in the business lines. The mission in this role includes enabling Airbus to reach the Decarbonization target as well as the management of risks associated with environmental KPIs.

She/he also works to grow, develop and structure the support network centrally, internationally and locally for all our relevant tools.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Supporting the business in defining the needs for data acquisition in environmental context, in particular the strategy for temporary or continuous measurement for the industrial scope
  • Screening current data availability and identifying the gaps
  • Defining an action plan to fill the gaps
  • Following and supporting sites metering deployment projects
  • Improving processes & methods for data acquisition from device installation to integration in Information Management platforms and integration in business processes for maintenance support
  • Define Project Plan, OBS, WBS to answer the business needs for environmental data acquisition
  • Consolidate metering installation process and officialisation in the business accountable lines with SIPOC (Supplier Input Process Output Customer) and RASCI officialization
  • Develop communication pack for reporting to top management
  • Ensure documentation of data acquisition guidelines for the business and integration into business processes
  • Follow-up metering projects from sites in Milestones and Budget adherence
  • Manage subcontracted resources
  • Drive cross-divisional collaboration between environmental, operational and digital domains

The project leader will be supported in his/her activities by the Industrial Digital Strategy Leader who will ensure the alignment with key other Airbus initiatives and the overall Digital for Sustainability Strategy.

Contribute/Support:

  • Production System maturity objectives and ramp-up of Programs

EDUCATION:

B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.E. in Mechanical / Industrial / Environmental Engineering

AME or Diploma with experience

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

  • Knowledge on Manufacturing Engineering processes
  • Good Understanding of engineering fundamentals like lean Manufacturing principles, Manufacturing and assembly concepts, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Sustainability
  • Good stakeholder management
  • Strong Project Management experience

Good To have:

  • General awareness of aircraft and its components
  • Metering systems

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Lead a team in a transnational environment
  • Assertive communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills, self-development
  • Ability to work in multiple projects and drive innovation initiatives
  • Strong problem solving and logical thinking ability
  • English communication is mandatory; any other Airbus-language (Spanish, French, German) would be a plus.
