This position is part of our Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems.
Task description
- Independent definition and adaptation of the MBSE approach to meet specific project requirements, ensuring the seamless integration of complex internal and external interfaces
- Developing and steering the Model Management Plan (MMP), including the establishment of governance rules and data interface definitions in close collaboration with the project core team
- Establishing, evolving, and maintaining the digital model while ensuring rigorous version control and precise configuration management
- Actively shaping the change process with the customer and promoting the adoption of model-based methodologies through technical leadership and advocacy
- Defining validation rules to ensure model consistency and high-quality data, as well as automated generation of project documentation from the model in accordance with customer requirements
- Providing technical mentoring to the project team and conducting training sessions on modern MBSE tools and collaborative modeling practices
Required qualifications
The work task requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable fields. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways
Skills and competences
- Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
- Professional experience in Systems Engineering of complex products, ideally within the aerospace industry
- Proven proficiency in MBSE modeling and advanced use of SysML-based tools, such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or equivalent platforms
- Solid experience in model validation, configuration management, and version control to ensure high-quality digital architectures
- Strong ability to act as a multiplier for new technologies, with experience in change management and fostering team adoption of innovative methodologies
- Proactive and solution-oriented approach, combined with the initiative to drive complex technical topics in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of model validation, configuration management, and version control would be a plus
- Highly motivated, customer-oriented, and open-minded person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to adapt to changes
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Willingness for occasional business trips domestically and abroad
Location
At our Donauwörth site on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, we support Airbus Helicopters in the development of helicopters-from the initial concept to the flight-ready product. Join us and experience them taking off and landing at our very own flight test center.
The contractual place of work is Donauwörth, although project assignments may take place throughout Southern Germany, requiring a corresponding willingness to travel.
