An opportunity for an Material Support Services Representative (LTA) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

Based at the Matacán Military Air Base in Salamanca, the Material Support Services Representative will serve as the primary on-site liaison between our company and the Customer, specifically within the framework of the DCare contract.

This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role that requires a unique blend of logistical expertise and technical understanding.

You will be the face of our service excellence on the ground, bridging the gap between the customer’s operational requirements and our global supply chain to guarantee maximum fleet availability and contractual compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities

  • On-Site Customer Liaison: Act as the dedicated, professional point of contact for the Customer at the Matacán base, building strong, trust-based relationships and ensuring their material needs are understood and met.
  • DCare Contract Execution: Ensure the seamless delivery of material support services (Spares, AGEs, Repairs, and ISS) in strict accordance with the specific requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) of the DCare contract.
  • Technical & Operational Interface: Act as the critical link between the Customer’s operational/maintenance units and our internal supply chain and engineering directorates, leveraging MRO expertise to facilitate effective communication.
  • Fleet Readiness Support: Monitor and drive the material readiness of the LTA fleet on-site, proactively identifying potential supply gaps and implementing immediate solutions to minimize operational impact.

  • Performance & Compliance Monitoring: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels, ensuring that all on-site activities align with both contractual obligations and military operational standards.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation: Provide immediate on-site troubleshooting for material-related issues and manage the formal escalation process to our headquarters for high-impact challenges.
  • Main Activities

    • Daily Operational Coordination: Manage the end-to-end flow of spares and repairs directly at the customer's location, ensuring seamless logistics, documentation, and technical alignment.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead regular on-site meetings and reviews with military personnel and stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment, and continuous service improvement.
    • Inventory & Material Oversight: Oversee the local material support processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with both company and military protocols.
    • Reporting & Visibility: Provide regular, high-quality reports to both the Customer and our internal management regarding material status, service performance, and potential risks.
    • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize on-site material support processes to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

    SKILLS

    • Location: This position is based full-time at the Matacán Military Air Base (Salamanca, Spain).
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
    • Experience: Proven experience in customer-facing roles, contract management, or supply chain operations. Direct experience in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments is highly valued and will be considered a significant asset for managing DCare requirements.
    • Technical Expertise: Understanding of material support models and the ability to navigate complex logistics and aviation regulatory frameworks.
    • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Must possess a high degree of professional maturity, adaptability, and the ability to represent the company with authority and elegance in a military setting.
    • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Full professional proficiency in Spanish is essential for daily interaction with the local customer.
