Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Long-term Intern (multi-semester) to join our Material Planning & Procurement Team based in Grapevine, TX .

In this role you will develop and maintain KPIs as assigned. Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks and duties such as preparation of documents and records in accordance with detailed instructions or standard practices; improve ways of working to go a paperless process. Work within ERP system (SAP) to learn and develop skills and support the overall department.

A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Your Challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

KPIs 30%

  • Develop GSuite Skills
  • Maintain weekly/bi-weekly/monthly reports as assigned
  • Propose new ways to simplify tasks regularly as skills increase
  • Export Data from SAP to analyse and present in presentation format through GSuite

SAP and other Systems 30%

  • Create Purchase Requisitions in SAP as assigned.
  • Develop skills to maintain inventory levels based on turn times
  • Learn the financial impact of how processes of the AHNA Supply Chain impact our business and the bottom line.
  • Enter data within SAP, GSuite, APS, Palantir Foundry and other systems as required per the process requirements

Task Assignments 40%

  • Log or perform clerical duties as needed
  • Work closely with leads of the Material Planning & Forecasting team on daily tasks
  • Develop an understanding of the end to end supply chain flow and how we interact with other businesses within AHNA
  • Be a backup to positions when a co-worker is out of the office
  • Attend meetings as assigned. Report necessary information to management as needed

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Boarding Pass:

Required:

  • Must be currently local to the DFW metro area as this is a multi-semester, onsite internship
  • High school diploma and currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
  • Requires no formal work experience. Must have mental alertness and be able to adapt to routine tasks and duties
  • Google Suite Proficiency
  • Organizational Skills
  • Must be able to communicate and write clearly in a professional manner
  • Authorized to Work in the US without current, or future, need of visa sponsorship

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Office Suite. Heavy on Excel proficiency.
  • SAP experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: daily
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. - Daily
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. - Daily
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. - Daily
  • Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools - Daily
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs - Daily
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs - Daily
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. - Occasionally
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. - Daily
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Occasionally
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.=Daily
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. 0%
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.- Daily
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site - when visiting areas where PPE is required
