We are currently looking for a Logistics Project Manager (d/f/m) to join our team Logistics Network & Technology Team in Hamburg - Fuhlsbüttel .

Core business of Satair is the distribution of spare parts, consumable material and tools that are required to operate, repair and maintain aircraft. Therefore Satair is having 10 warehouses globally to ensure the logistics fulfillment for our customers. In the Logistics area Satair is having a dedicated Logistics Network & Technology Team spread around the globe with team members in Washington, Copenhagen, Singapore, Beijing and Hamburg. If you are seeking an opportunity to be in the front row of high impact projects we are looking for you by acting as a Logistics Project Manager for all global sites.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

To set up a modern, high-performance and cost-effective logistics and warehouse system we have to execute projects to drive continuous improvement and standardization of all global warehouses, transportation and repair activities.

  • Lead and execute high-impact logistics projects aimed at the continuous improvement and standardization of our 10 global warehouses, transportation networks, and repair activities.
  • Drive the physical transformation of our sites by managing space development, layout optimization, and material flow design.
  • Implement modern solutions by overseeing the selection and introduction of best-in-class storage systems, transportation technologies, and material handling equipment.


This role will involve some travel for business as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

ABOUT YOU

Equipped with a degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Economics (or similar) paired with professional project management experience ideally in an international environment, we are looking for a team player with the following experience, skills and mindset:

  • Many years of progressive experience in a logistics, supply chain, or industrial engineering environment.
  • Expertise in end-to-end project management, from initiation and planning through to monitoring, control, and closing.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and improving warehouse material flows, storage systems, and material handling equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling business cases, lead milestone/gate reviews, and manage project financials.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional and transnational project teams within a complex matrix organization.
  • Negotiation level of English, German is a plus
