Logistics Cost Base Manager (F/M)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Logistics Cost Base Manager (or Supply Chain Cost Modeler (m/f)) to join our Flight Hour Services (FHS) department based in Toulouse, France.

We are looking for an experienced logistics professional to drive cost management and the design of end-to-end industrial solutions for spare parts logistics projects-spanning the route from our logistics hubs to repair stations-and to act as the FHS operations focal point, ensuring the feasibility of proposed industrial setups.

The role focuses on managing standard logistics costs and developing tailored customer solutions covering transport, warehousing at our logistics hubs, customs clearance, and final delivery to the customer. The position also involves leading cross-functional projects to improve and optimize FHS operations. Our Clients are the airlines having bought FHS.

You will be part of a team of experts developing logistics solutions. Within the FHS Industrial Solutions (SMROI) team, you will be involved in modeling activities aimed at defining the most appropriate industrial solution for our client during sales campaigns. You will also create and update the cost database for logistics providers (warehousing, transport, customs clearance).

Your challenges:

Lead the logistics solution proposed to our client

• Design, cost, and implement end-to-end logistics solutions for shipping our spare parts worldwide, in order to meet our clients' needs regarding timing, cost, and quality.
• Ensure the alignment of customer proposals by verifying that all operational, cost, and risk parameters comply with established standards.
• Act as the primary representative for the industrial solution during cross-functional governance meetings to review, assess, and resolve industrial discrepancies, while ensuring business viability and mitigating operational risks.

Be responsible for logistics cost modeling.

• Analyze and maintain logistics costs (warehousing, transport, customs) in accordance with the FHS industrial framework (active pools, contracted transport routes, aircraft program repair networks).
• Identify cost anomalies, operational inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities, where applicable.

Report on sales campaigns within Operations team:

• Provide weekly update to FHS operations team
• Elaborate periodic reports to highlight major campaigns and upcoming workload for operations teams

Continuous improvement

• Propose updates to improve the logistic cost base (accuracy, performance)
• Support any project that requires logistic costs estimation, set-up analysis
• Coordinate SMRO cross projects (Cyrus, Scrap,...)

Your boarding pass:

• Master or equivalent degree in Logistics, Aeronautics, Project Management
• Over 8 years’ experience in supply chain and project management in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance
• Team player, self-motivated, able to synthesise information
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle large volumes of data
• Proficiency in IT tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Skywise)
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Good level of English (spoken and written)
