Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Lead Solution Architect for DECADE-X (f/m) to join our DOPO - Digital For Flying Parts Purchasing department based in Toulouse, France.

DECADE-X (Digital ECosystem for Aerospace and DEfence) is a non-profit association officially launched to serve as the first trusted and collaborative industrial digital ecosystem for the sector. Founded by major industry players-including Airbus, Thales, Liebherr, Collins Aerospace, and BoostAeroSpace -it is designed to enable seamless and secure data exchanges across the entire aerospace and defense supply chain.

The purpose of DECADE-X is to address critical industry challenges:

  • Supply Chain Connectivity: Enabling trusted data sharing across all levels of the supply chain.
  • Data Sovereignty: Ensuring companies maintain full control over their digital assets.
  • Interoperability: Implementing common standards to allow diverse systems to work together.
  • Inclusivity: Providing access for companies of all sizes, from SMEs to global leaders.

Your challenges:

The Lead Solution Architect is responsible for the End-to-End (E2E) coherence of the final data space solution (including business use cases and data space services), acting as the bridge between technical execution and business value.

  • Dual-Track Leadership: Provide clear technical and functional direction to teams developing the data space building blocks while simultaneously guiding the implementation of business use cases from a technical and architectural perspective
  • E2E Coherence & Integration: Ensure the overall integrity and security of the solution, guaranteeing that individual technical components align to deliver a seamless user experience across the data space and addressing the right business needs
  • Interdependency Management: Proactively identify and manage complex technical and functional interdependencies between various workstreams
  • Architectural Governance: Actively lead the technical vision to success by ensuring a consistent connection between enterprise architecture, technical architecture, and real-world application at the use case level.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: Navigate a multi-stakeholder environment, harmonizing requirements and technical contributions from external industrial partners and the two attached initiatives (Aerospace-X and DECADE-X France)

Your skills :

  • Complex Ecosystem Management: Proven experience in managing technical roadmaps within complex, multi-partner environments or large-scale industrial consortia.
  • Architectural Expertise: Strong background in software design, languages, and cloud computing, with the ability to "see the big picture" of data space solutions.
  • Strategic Communication: Excellent skills in communicating technical visions to both internal teams and high-level external stakeholders from the Aerospace & Defense sector.
  • Security & Sovereignty: Familiarity with IT security management and data sovereignty principles essential for critical industry exchanges.
  • Problem-Solving & Organization: Good organizational skills to manage the friction points between business requirements and technical feasibility.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
