Are you looking to join the Space business and contribute to the development of its global Supply Chain?
Airbus Defence&Space is looking for an opportunity to join the Electrical Systems Procurement organization at Airbus Defence and Space as a Lead Supply Chain & Quality Manager, based at our Elancourt site.
The department is structured across three procurement technologies: Electrical Interconnects, Electrical Harnesses, and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS). While the holder of this position will be involved in all of these technos, the main focus will be Electrical Interconnects and EMS. As a Lead SCQM, you will hold a high-profile position central to our supplier performance management strategy and serve as a key member of the organization.
You will be responsible for the overall performance and compliance of strategic suppliers of electrical and optical components, ensuring On-Time, On-Quality (OTOQ) delivery. You will provide Supply Chain and Quality expertise to the Electrical Systems Multi-Functional Team (MFT) and drive the implementation of supplier management strategies.
YOUR MISSIONS
Supplier Steering & Strategy
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure the end-to-end management and monitoring of supplier performance.
- Strategy Deployment: Contribute to the MFT in deploying associated procurement strategies.
- Selection & Tendering: Assess suppliers during the tendering phase, contribute to selection decisions, and manage the SC&Q aspects of contracts.
- Contractual Support: Assist in defining contractual requirements and managing supplier claims.
Quality & Industrial Excellence
- Standards & Tools: Deploy supply chain standards and quality methodologies.
- Industrial Maturity: Guarantee convergence toward industrial maturity targets (Capacity and Capability).
- Risk Management: Establish industrial risk analyses and associated surveillance plans.
- Compliance: Verify supplier compliance with Airbus Defence and Space standards and relevant aerospace regulations.
Operational Control
- Capacity Planning: Ensure suppliers have robust plans to support production evolutions.
- Corrective Actions: Monitor OTD and OQD; launch and lead corrective action plans as necessary.
- On-site Assessments: Conduct regular industrial assessments (e.g., Gemba walks, audits, and surveys).
- Crisis Management: Alert and escalate critical risks or disruptions; support the deployment of short-term recovery and de-risking plans.
Leadership & Coordination
- Internal Stakeholders: Coordinate with key internal Airbus stakeholders on all supplier-related topics.
- Guidance: Provide direct guidance and support to other SCQMs.
- Change Management: Foster cross-functional teamwork, apply practical problem-solving tools, and support teams through the implementation of new ways of working.
- Reporting: Regularly report on supplier operational performance to senior management.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Education: Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: Supply Chain & Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering, Customer Support, or Operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Prior experience in stakeholder or customer management is a significant asset.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Supply Chain fundamentals.
- Project Management: Foundational knowledge of project management principles.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership: Ability to influence, assert ideas, and challenge the status quo at all levels of a supplier’s management hierarchy.
- Attributes: Autonomous, highly organized, and customer-oriented.
- Languages: Negotiation-level proficiency in both English and French is mandatory.
