CTC is looking for an
Intern in the field of structural mechanics (d/f/m), focus on material modelling for thermoplastic composites
Thermoplastic composites offer a number of advantages for the aviation industry, but their processing at high temperatures is a complex task. Many challenges can be tackled using processing simulation, provided appropriate material models are available. These models require a lot of material characterisation tests to calibrate. Therefore, in the contest of this internship, the influence of all material parameters will be analysed to identify the required precision of each parameter and improve the material characterisation program.

Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 3-6 months

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Plan Simulations systematically
- Generate FEM-Models
- Execute simulations
- Evaluate simulation results
- Report the results according to scientific standards
Desired skills and qualifications
- Enrolled full-time student in the area of aerospace engineering, mechanical engineerig or an equivalent field of study
- First practical experience in the field of FEM simulations is desirable
- Fluent in English
