Job Description
Job Description:
We look forward to you joining us as a master student (d/f/m) at Airbus CRT
Location
Ottobrunn, Munich
Start
ideally 1st of November 2026
Duration
9 months
Airbus is a global pioneer in aeronautics, space, and defense-related services, creating cutting-edge technologies. Combining European heritage with global outreach, the diversity of our talent and technology drives innovation, integration, and internationalization. Airbus CRT is the central research domain of the company, in charge of fundamental research across all Airbus divisions.
Advanced composite materials are fundamental to next-generation aerospace structures. Optimizing their performance and manufacturing scalability requires a precise, fundamental understanding of polymer chemistry, cure dynamics, and thermal properties. Differentially accelerated resin systems offer major efficiency gains, but their successful deployment depends on unravelling complex cure behavior, interphase kinetics, and thermal transition profiles. Your thesis will focus on advancing composite manufacturing by investigating curing kinetics, analyzing interphase diffusion in accelerated resin matrices, and leveraging advanced physical-chemical analytics.
Your exciting tasks
- Curing Kinetics Investigation: Conduct in-depth studies on commonly cured differential accelerated resin systems, evaluating the effects of differential accelerators
- Interphase & Mechanism Mapping: Research interphase diffusion, cross-linking dynamics and curing mechanisms within advanced composite matrices
