Internship assignment Project Control / Accounting

Airbus Netherlands BV, a 100% Airbus Group subsidiary, innovates across design, production, and assembly to produce high-performance solar arrays for satellites and structures parts for launcher activities.

Beside this, Airbus Netherlands BV develops its activity in the Netherlands over its original core business.

This role is essential in providing administrative, financial, and reporting support for project control and accounting activities across our space programmes (Solar Arrays & Launchers).

You will work closely with the project controllers and the accounting team to ensure financial data management, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness across various projects.


Main activities for the internship assignment:

• Planning & Controlling Support: review the planning of project revenue and costs.
  
• Reporting & Data Management: contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, and support performance and results analysis.
  

Further daily activities:

• Maintain and monitoring project budgets and changes; prepare detailed financial forecast and variance analysis.
  
• Provide timely and accurate project financial reports, including cost tracking and progress reporting.
  
• Forecasting support, analyzing and reporting activities for the monthly closing.
  
• Analyze project KPI’s, identify deviations using the PBI tool and support corrective actions to ensure project targets are met.
  
• Support the interface between procurement and finance within the projects: check Purchase Orders for correctness and for compliance with the financial.
  
• Check delivered goods / services for compliance with the Purchase Orders.
  
• Support the accounting team in the validation process of the supplier invoices.
  
• Prepare invoice requests to customers.
  
• Follow-up the payment of the customers.
  
• Contribute to process improvements initiatives.
  

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Current Bachelor or Master in Finance including accounting
  
• Proactive
  
• Completeness and accuracy in the figures (reliability)
  
• Proficiency in Excel
  
• Strong communication skills in English
  
• Experience in working with Power BI and/or SAP is a plus

As an intern at Airbus Netherlands, you will have access to confidential and proprietary information. You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and adhere to our data protection policies. Maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information is a critical aspect of this role.

Requirements:

• Residency in the Netherlands.
  
• VOG and background screening to obtain a security clearance is part of the procedure.
  
• Internship must be part of the curriculum. We can not accept voluntary internships.
