Job Summary:

As a Human Resources (HR) Digital Specialist supporting the Asia Pacific region at Airbus, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation. In this role, you will be a Digital and AI Orchestrator and Change Agent who will be instrumental in project planning and deploying innovative Digital and AI solutions that will revolutionize how we manage and utilize HR data, moving beyond traditional analytics to create intelligent, automated systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Study, explore, propose and deploy AI agents, AI Chatbots, Digital workers and machine learning models that automate workflows across different tools, functions and stakeholders to solve complex HR challenges, such as employee sentiment analysis, talent acquisition optimization, and workforce planning while ensuring an optimised ROI
  • Partner with HR stakeholders and data analysts to identify business needs and translate them into technical requirements for AI solutions
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform the development of AI models
  • Monitor, evaluate, audit and fine-tune deployed AI models to ensure optimal performance and accuracy
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data engineering to continuously improve our capabilities
  • Design, build, buy, and maintain the middleware layer between tools (e.g. Workday and Local payroll) and robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, reconcile (ideally autocorrect mismatches) and store HR data from various sources (e.g., APIs, databases, flat files)
  • Optimize data architecture and databases to improve performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with IT and other data professionals and be the Technical focal point for HR to ensure the seamless integration of data solutions and to maintain a scalable data infrastructure
  • Extract blueprints from internal and external use cases and adapt the architecture for APAC whenever possible
  • Adhere to data governance and security best practices to protect sensitive HR information
  • Regularly involve the AI Governance across HIMalaya (HR-IT group) & Regions HR Digital & AI Roadmap Leaders about strategic discussions to ensure alignment
  • Responsible for enhancing data driven decision making and defining where AI acts autonomously versus where humans retain final approval
  • Ensure compliance (e.g. Responsible AI, GDPR, EU AI Act, Follow Digital Gates) in accordance with AI Governance framework
  • Offer technical training and support to HR team members
  • Ensure the HR team passes "Capability Gates" before any tool goes live
  • Partner with HR to maintain optimal function of the local Human Resources Information System (HRIS) systems. Perform detailed analysis of HR process requirements, rethink processes and provide appropriate Digital and AI solutions to enhance the processes and document it
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements in HR software solutions to optimize HR workflows
  • Partner with HR to test and implement new technology platforms and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Partner with HR to maintain accurate and reliable data across all HR technology platforms
  • Stay updated on HR technology trends and recommend strategic improvements
  • Drive the digital transformation of HR processes to enhance efficiency
  • Partner with HR to handle relationships with vendors providing HR technology solutions
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all HR technology systems

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other quant-focused fields or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • AI and Machine Learning Certification such as Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer and Data Engineering Certifications such as Google Certified Professional Data Engineer, or similar certification is a plus
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in an HR AI/ML or data engineering role, with a strong portfolio of deployed AI/ML models
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS including services related to AI and machine learning (e.g., Vertex AI, AutoML, and AI Infrastructure) and data engineering (e.g., S3, Data Factory, BigQuery)
  • Ability to independently design and implement end-to-end AI/ML solutions and AI agents that deliver measurable business value
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
  • Demonstrated experience with data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Databricks)
  • Capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools (PySpark, Scala, Git)
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and their application in an enterprise environment
  • Expertise and strong understanding of protocols, data privacy and security best practices, particularly within the context of HR data and data exchanges
  • Strong Project Management and Organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Proactive, curious and tech savvy mindset with passion for innovation
