Job Description

Job Description:

HR Business Partner (m/f/d)

For Airbus Defence and Space in Bucharest , we are looking for a dedicated and strategic professional to join our HR team within the legal entity in Romania.

About the Role and the RISE Strategy

Within the framework of the RISE (Romanian Initiative for Strategic Expansion) , Airbus is committed to significantly growing its footprint and operational excellence in Romania. As we expand our local legal entity, HR plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our growth is sustainable, culturally aligned, and operationally high-performing.

Our mission is to provide world-class HR support that balances local agility with the global standards of the Airbus Group. You will not just manage processes; you will be a strategic architect of our Romanian success story, ensuring that our leadership and workforce are prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. As the legal entity matures, there is a clear path for this role to evolve in complexity and leadership scope.

By joining this team, you become a key driver of the RISE strategy, bridging the gap between local operational needs and the global Airbus HR functional guidelines.

Your Location

At our Bucharest site, you will work at the heart of Romania’s vibrant capital. You will be part of a dynamic, growing hub that combines the heritage of Airbus with the energy of a strategic ramp-up. Enjoy a modern working environment where international collaboration meets local entrepreneurship.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Act as a trusted consultant to the local leadership team, supporting cultural change and driving the HR agenda in line with Airbus values.
  • RISE Strategy Execution: Support the "Romanian Initiative for Strategic Expansion" from an HR perspective, ensuring the organization is equipped for a significant ramp-up over the coming years.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure solid HR performance across the entire employee lifecycle (recruitment, development, retention, and separation).
  • Global-Local Alignment: Act as the bridge to the Group HR functions (disciplinary line), ensuring strict adherence to Airbus Group guidelines, policies, and overarching strategy.
  • Labor Law & Compliance: Provide expert guidance on Romanian labor law and local legislation to mitigate risks and ensure fair practices.
  • Leadership Coaching: Support managers in developing their leadership skills, facilitating performance management, and driving high-engagement team cultures.
  • Growth & Scaling: Proactively manage the HR challenges associated with a fast-paced organizational ramp-up, including talent mapping and organizational design.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Approximately 10 years of experience in an HR Business Partner or similar HR role initial experience in leading teams or projects is not a mandatory requirement but would be highly appreciated as you prepare for the future scaling of the entity.
  • Academic Background: Successfully completed Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
  • Solid Experience: Proven track record as an HR Business Partner within a large, matrix-organized international corporation (aerospace or high-tech industry preferred).
  • Strategic Mindset: Experience in supporting organizational growth, ramp-ups, or large-scale transformation projects.
  • Legal Expertise: Deep knowledge of Romanian labor law and the local HR regulatory landscape.
  • Matrix Proficiency: Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage stakeholders across different countries and reporting lines.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (C1/C2 level) is mandatory; Romanian is essential for local legal and employee interactions.
  • Values & Potential: High alignment with Airbus values (Customer Focus, Integrity, Respect, Creativity, Reliability and Team Work) and a clear potential for future professional growth within the company.

What do we offer you?

  • A great place to develop your career
  • Exciting and meaningful projects
  • Continuous education and training
  • A motivating salary and a comprehensive package of benefits
  • Performance related bonus

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
