Job Position
Health Engineer - Predictive Maintenance Modelling

Team Description
The Health Engineering Team at Airbus India is responsible for defining the maintenance
systems of tomorrow for the aircraft, and developing diagnostic and prognostic solutions to
improve the maturity of systems and to provide health monitoring capabilities by applying
machine learning algorithms, reliability concepts, an adept understanding of aircraft systems
and modeling and simulation capabilities. The team works with both commercial and defense &
space ecosystems and is also engaged on Airbus Skywise (the singular access point to data
analytics) utilizing Big Data, Java & Python skills to create data-driven models.
This team is part of Advanced Engineering & System Studies, a department that works on
providing simulation means for most aircraft systems through the application of systems
engineering, MBSE, certification abilities, prognostics and health monitoring, system modeling
and simulation, data analytics, etc.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Health Engineer who is self-motivated and driven to work with multiple
stakeholders in an R&T environment being responsible for:
• Analyze the technological needs of various aircraft systems and their extended
ecosystem (customers, suppliers, etc.) to identify key problem statements.
• Develop rapid prototypes and tangible proof-of-concept solutions to address these
identified needs and engineering challenges.
• Execute a structured, process-based approach to end-to-end AI/ML model development,
ensuring traceability, reproducibility, and robust governance throughout the project
lifecycle.
• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams and international experts, proactively
networking to enhance methodologies, integrate constructive feedback, and deploy
solutions across specific use cases.
• Test and Validate new models rigorously prior to deployment, ensuring comprehensive
documentation of methodologies, performance metrics, and key R&T lessons learned.
• Communicate project status updates, technical findings, and strategic insights
consistently to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Required Education:
• B.Tech. / M.Tech. in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or electronics engineering with
minimum 2 years of relevant industrial experience
Required skills and expertise:
• Proven practical experience or a strong academic background in building, testing, and
deploying probabilistic AI/ML models.
• Deep understanding of applied statistics and probability theory to ensure rigorous data
interpretation and mathematical accuracy.
• Demonstrated, practical expertise in Python for data analysis and the creation of
models.
• Business-level proficiency in English, with excellent capability in crafting technical
documentation and delivering high-quality PowerPoint presentations to stakeholders.
Nice to Have
• Ability to quickly grasp the technical intricacies of various aircraft systems and apply the
right technological solutions to relevant problem statements.

• Skills in correlating physical component failure modes and degradation mechanisms into
robust, measurable data features
• A self-motivated individual with a genuine interest in pioneering data science concepts
within the aviation industry.
• Strong team player motivated to collaborate and find synergies
• Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively
