  • Organizational Leadership: Disciplinary and functional accountability for the Quality perimeter (PA, QA, Inspection training and escalations); fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture.
  • QMS Governance: Ownership and continuous improvement of the QMS in line with EN9100, corporate strategy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Partnership: Acting as a core member of the management team to align Quality with business success and "First Time Right" objectives.
  • Product & Project Integrity: Ensuring end-to-end quality across the lifecycle, with a specific focus on transitioning towards small series production and high quality space products.
  • Risk & Deviation Management: Leading proactive risk identification and ensuring robust resolution of non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Independent Voice: Serving as the sovereign authority for Quality matters towards internal stakeholders and international customers/agencies including the shareholder (Airbus DS/SpS/SpP).
  • Supply Chain Excellence: Auditing and managing suppliers/subcontractors to ensure strict compliance with e. g. ECSS, EN9100, and contractual standards.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimizing the value chain by eliminating non-value-added activities and ensuring effective resource planning for project demands.
  • Continuous Improvement: Driving innovation in quality methodologies (e.g., Lean, Root Cause Analysis) and executing annual management reviews and audits.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Managing complex interfaces in a bilingual environment (German & English required).

Skills

  • Master’s degree/Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical), Physics, Industrial Engineering or similar education.
  • Modern Leadership & Diplomacy: Proven ability to lead large teams with a diplomatic yet firm authority; acting as the "Independent Voice of Quality" across all hierarchical levels.
  • End-to-End Business Acumen: Integrating quality as strategic partner throughout whole value chain and supporting functions to ensure profitability and “Design-to-Quality”.
  • Industrial Transformation: Expert-level knowledge of Lean Principles and the ability to transition processes from artisan-style manufacturing to efficient small series production.
  • Strategic Supply Chain Oversight: Experience in managing international subcontractors, ensuring compliance (EN9100/ECSS) and quality stability across external value chains.
  • Pragmatic Problem Solving: A hands-on approach that balances rigorous "Zero-Defect" requirements with business pragmatism and cost-containment goals.
  • Tech-Forward Mindset: Openness to integrating AI-driven analytics, digital quality tools, and Industry 4.0 methodologies to optimize quality gates and data transparency.
  • Cross-Industry Vision: Ability to import best practices from other high-tech/high-reliability sectors (e.g., Automotive, MedTech, Telecommunication) to enhance aerospace standards.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional stakeholder management and presentation skills with full professional fluency in German and English.
