Airbus Broughton is looking for a dynamic, visionary Head of Digital Projects to lead our digital transformation. If you are passionate about Industry 4.0, thrive on transforming complex industrial landscapes, and love empowering teams to think like entrepreneurs, this is your launchpad.
This pivotal leadership role is responsible for the strategic development and deployment of advanced digital systems and software solutions. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team to identify, define, and execute world-class digital capabilities that streamline operations, secure value creation, and drive measurable productivity improvements across the Broughton site.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Strategic Leadership & Capability Development: Lead the plant’s 5-year digital strategy and workforce transformation by fostering an autonomous, high-performing culture through strategic upskilling, cross-functional alignment, and targeted talent development.
- Project Governance & Financial Accountability: Direct the end-to-end deployment of plant OWO digitalisation projects by managing complex budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), mitigating risks, and enforcing SQCDP metrics to secure governance approvals and guarantee full value realisation.
- Portfolio & Technology Management: Direct the site’s complete digital transformation and business continuity portfolio across all manufacturing operations-leveraging Industry 4.0, AI tools, and scalable data infrastructure to optimise the industrial system while driving Google Workspace migrations.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Transnational Collaboration: Represent the Broughton plant at transnational strategic planning events to harmonise local execution with central digital capabilities, while building robust stakeholder and supplier networks to manage project inflows and deliver executive reporting.
ABOUT YOU
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing, developing, and leading high-performing professional teams.
- Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated success applying project management tools, techniques, and governance to complex Multi-Functional Team (MFT) projects.
- Change Management: Proven capability to act as a change agent, effectively challenging the status quo and managing transitions within a demanding, fast-paced industrial environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of data fundamentals and experience utilizing Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platforms.
- Advanced Data Solutions: Knowledge and practical application of big data platforms, specifically Palantir and Skywise, is highly desirable.
